Delete Your Account & Data

Where your data is

MitaWise stores your data only on your phone. We do not keep your expenses, income, or account on our servers, so you can delete everything yourself at any time — no request needed.

1. Delete data on your phone

Choose one:

  1. In the app: open Settings → Clear All Data to delete all expenses, income, and recurring expenses for the account you're signed in to.
  2. Everything, for every account on the phone: Android Settings → Apps → MitaWise → Storage → Clear storage.
  3. Uninstall MitaWise. Android removes all of the app's data with it.

⚠️ Deleted data cannot be recovered unless you have a Google Drive backup.

2. Delete your Google Drive backup (if you made one)

Backups are stored in a hidden app folder in your own Google Drive. To remove them:

  1. Open Google Drive on a computer.
  2. Click ⚙ Settings → Settings → Manage apps.
  3. Find MitaWise, click Options → Delete hidden app data.

You can also remove MitaWise's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Turn off Auto backup daily in the app first, or it will create a new backup.

3. Data from older versions (1.1.1 and earlier)

Older versions stored data on MitaWise servers. That data is being permanently deleted as the servers are shut down. To have it deleted sooner, email us from the address you used in the app:

We process requests within 7 business days. This removes your profile, expenses, income, categories, tags, settings, and ratings from the old servers.
